Mine will outlive yours though.

Ehhhhhh debatable.... The Pinto engine was around longer but the Duratec is still being used today at 21 years old. It'll take a few more decades to sort that argument out. Ive seen both engines over 300,000 miles. The Duratec is more complex and makes more power but it's still not "complex" and it just keeps working like it's predecessor.

And personally I don't think it should be legal for non government employees to sell loose bags of pre cooked spaghetti at the post office during business hours...

Shut this thread down for being controversial. That's just how I feel.

I'm sorry if that offends you, or if you make a living selling spaghetti at the post office but that's where I draw the line.

I showed my junk to this guy on the streets of Minnesota one crisp fall evening. He clapped for 11 minutes and then ran off screaming. You think cinnamon toast crunch is gonna fix everything?

It's also a car engine. First used (I think) in North America in the Ford Focus, I believe in the 2000 model. Starting in 2000, the Focus had the 2.0 SPI engine (carried over from the 1999 Escort), the 2.0 Zetec engine (used in the Contour), and the 2.3 Duratec (we all know it originated in a Mazda). But the Focus isn't a Ranger, so do we really care about all that?

All Ranger engines were originally car engines... even the new ones... you think the Pinto was a truck?
