new transfer case probs

i have a 1989 ranger 5spd and i recently switched from the mistubishi tranny to the mazda one. While i was doing the swap, i decited to change my electric transfer case, which wasnt working, to a mechanical one from the junkyard. When i got everything put in, the transfer case shifter seemed to be close to the tranny shifter, but didnt touch. I was able to put the tranny shifter boot on, but there wasnt enough room to fit the transfer case shifter boot. everything works with the transfer case, i just need to know if i have to find a mazda tranny 5 spd ranger with mechanical transfer case and get the floor setup out of that or what i need to do..

There are TWO manual T-case shifters that will fit the Mazda trans.

And which you need depends on which T-case you are using.

By your listing your truck as a 1989 I'll guess you got another t-case like your original 13-50 (slip yoke front output) in which case the T-case shifter can be a bit hard to find.

The 13-54 T-case is easier to find, because the shifter for the 13-54 T-case fits all 1988-up transmissions, unfortunatly it will NOT fit the 13-54 T-case.

yes it is the 13-50. and just how hard do you mean that it is to find one? I would have to find one from a junkyard that is a 4 liter ranger mazda trans with manual transfer case and manual trans?
i would appreciate it if you know someone that has one or can get rid of one to send it to me and i would pay them for it.
