I just Got a Used Trac Lock Out of an 86 Mustang SVO for 40 Bucks and was just seeing what everyone thinks was that a good buy or not and also how rare is it to find a 7.5 track lock.

Not a bad price depeding what you are going to use it for. A trac-loc for a 7.5 not rare at all, I have 3 of them at home.

why would you want a 7.5 trac loc

If your cheap like me and didn't get a 4x4 then the LSD for the 7.5 is what you go to to avoid looking stupid in the snow. I put some clearance on my truck and deeper treads along with 280lbs of weight in the bed for traction. The snow still got me a little bit in Columbus! and that snow is weak sauce. A sweet trick for opens: Lightly apply parking brake...both wheels will temporarily try to hook up if its light loads like snow.

Just make sure you test the breakaway torque, or you may be wasting your effort.

A worn out TL behaves exactly like an open differential.
