So I'm pretty much pneumatic in the garage with a few corded tools for sanding, grinding, etc.

I got a gift card and was wanting to get a basic cordless kit, and I'm not a heavy user. I'd need it for around the house, backyard, and garage stuff where I don't need to get the hose out etc. Any reason in terms of bang for the buck not to get the $200 ryobi one kit? I can add tools pretty cheap and for what you get I can't find anything close. Anyone use these or have thoughts?

I know Milwaukee and DeWalt are superior, but I can't justify the $ for my usage needs.

I've had Ryobi since they were the only ones selling tools without the charger and battery. Probably 30 years or more. The drill and driver are great. There have been some duds as well but overall i havent had too much junk. And its cheap enough to not mind the odd junk piece. The new stuff seems really good too. Too bad you cant get parts easily...

i forgot to mention a new tool i got for christmas. the kids got me a nice 6 foot long wood top rolling toolbox. so both of my stacked rolling toolbox tools are now in that one rolling box. its so much nicer being able to roll it out to the truck and have everything available instead of going in and out of hte garage.

i just have to do something with those other sets of boxes now. i don't want to get rid of them but i need to relocate them so they are not taking up useful space near the garage door anymore.
