New tools you've bought recently?

I picked up some of these in 11" and 6" to hold the trailer suspension in place while drill holes to bolt the arms to the frame.

I haven’t tried the Bremen ones but the Pittsburgh and other cheap ones were bad, they don’t open far enough. One tool where I was pretty set on vise grip brand, but there are some other good alternatives now.

Well, I guess it's a good thing the Pittsburgh one were sold out then since those were originally the ones I was looking to get. They had a sale coupon but were sold out.

Because of potential issues the 1.6 Ecoboost engine could have, I picked up a digital inspection camera for inspecting the cylinders when I replace the plugs in the engine or if an issue crops up.

And since I've run into several instances when different tips for the heat gun would have really handy, I picked up a heat gun accessory kit.

Home Depot had another one of their "oops we made a mistake" deals on their website - buy a M18 fuel grinder, a 5.0 battery & charger kit for $149, and get a free tool - I picked the square sander since I already have every other tool in the list. That deal was only live for about an hour and I thought for sure my order would get cancelled but no, I got everything last night!

I don't really need another sander, I have two corded DeWalt square pad ones, a corded DeWalt round pad and a M18 cordless round pad, but I thought the square cordless one will be nice sometimes. And I already have the grinder sold for $130.... even if I just keep the battery & charger I am only $20 into the sander!!!

The bore scope is cool and all, but these Icon adjustable needle nose are freaking awesome. The ability to keep the jaws parallel on a wide range of sizes lets you actually apply force.

I've been meaning to get a pair or two of those pliers but keep forgetting while I'm in the store. My former work have Duckbill Pliers that don't have the slot and they have been very useful on a good number of occasions. The addition of the slot would have made them even better.

Years ago I bought a new in box Harbor Freight 6" belt/ 9" disc sander for cheap at an auction, it sat for a few years until I got to it but annoyingly the drive drum was two pieces and had a corrosive red loctite holding the two pieces together... at one point I found a Grizzly drive drum that was like $35 but now it's up to $60 plus shipping... Friday I found a Delta version of the sander for $50 on facebook marketplace, it was in Portland so sent a message Friday but he didn't respond but did today so I picked it up on my way home...

He said it worked which it does but it has never been connected to a vacuum and has very fine grit paper on it so there is sawdust EVERYWHERE AND IN EVERYTHING, or was, I made a mess with the air compressor... I do need to take it apart as there's some rubbing at motor speed.

It should be pretty nice, obviously a woodworking version being Delta but it's 1hp, has a graphite coated bed for the belt and seems to track fine. Now I need to get some new discs and belts to do general purpose work as the 120 grit or whatever won't cut it, it has some guts though as I couldn't stall it with the gum cleaning stick thing...

Will be nice going from the 4" belt/6" disc sander I've had for years, that thing is better than nothing but way too easy to stall...
