New tools you've bought recently?

I got as far as unboxing and assembling the press brake, they really didn't hold anything back packaging that thing, lots of oil protecting the bare metal surfaces and triple boxed... no regerts, it's a solid unit! There's a table on the side of the box showing the max bend on aluminum, mild steel and stainless, I'm not going to post it right now but might tomorrow...

Now for the wire brush for the surface conditioner, that thing is a beast! Highly recommended! $40 is steep but I imagine it will outlast the black abrasive wheel that's $30 by a long shot... and I've abused the heck out of the one that came with the thing... When I pulled the black one I checked and it's now 3 3/8" diameter and it started at 4" and I've cleaned many square feet of metal...

I bought the wire brush attachment last week when they had 15% off anything. I haven't used it yet but I'm excited to, I love that tool, the black abrasive wheels for those things are brutes. I cleaned two layers of bedliner off a 2' x 4' steel table and barely used any of the wheel.

The prep wheels though - yellow & red ones - meh. Haven't found a good use for those yet.

I missed the tool that the wire brush attachment attaches to. Link or pic or description please...

It's THIS, it's fantastic at flat surfaces

I love the black wheel but it gets worn out pretty good dealing with rust, my first one is now just bigger than the gear case on the one side, the wire brush doesn't do quite as good of a job on rust but nearly, I like it, I think it's faster at least...

I've seen those. Never used one.

What advantages does that have a over grinder with wire wheel?

A lot faster for dealing with large areas. They also supposedly don’t load up like the regular grinders when dealing with removing paint and rust. It’s a tool that is on my list of things to get

The surface speed is way lower so it doesn't heat up as bad and also the surface area is like 10x as large, they're variable speed too which is nice. They go on sale for reasonable every now and then...

Got myself a dusty hardly used roybee drill press from work. My shop is almost complete! Now to just get a building to act as said shop..the most difficult step lol.

I the Eastwood had those surface conditioners first, or at least that’s where I first noticed them.
Originally marketed for clearing paint off auto body panels. Probably works good on millscale too.

I went to harbor Freight tools unsupervised....

I originally went there for a chain hoist.

I also picked up some lifting straps

While I was there I wandered around and found a better tire inflator than the one I have in the 2011. 3.0 CFM instead of 1.5 CFM. Not that the smaller one is exactly slow but touching up tire inflation is one thing, inflating tires after airing down to off roading is another. It will be interesting to see if this one gets as hot as the smaller unit. Everything on it is about twice as big.

Then I remembered I needed a new vacuum pump for bleeding brakes since the old one broke

And stumbled across a brake lining thickness Guage set. Not needed really but a lot quicker than using a measuring caliper.

Then I remembered that my rivet nut setting tool had broken. So I picked up these.

I also stumbled across this back probing set and a battery/starter tester

I also ran across this set and remembered I didn't have a good heavy pick for breaking hoses loose and there are times my plastic scrapers are less than desirable.

And I remembered I also have some posts I want to bury into the ground and needed a torch to char the wood that will be buried.

So, it was a good and bad day at the same time.

I had a $30 off coupon for Vevor so I bought one of these brake line flaring tools, allegedly they are amazing:

If I remember correctly, someone had mentioned using that style before and had nothing but good things to say about it.
