A 9Ah Ridgid Octane battery for my Ridgid 18v cordless inflater. This battery permits me to air up four 33×13.5-15 tires up to 32lbs two times for each wheel, from about 7lbs!!

It takes just over 50 minutes to recharge with their 6amp and just over an hour to recharge with their 4amp battery charger ..)

The tool to put a stretch to fit accessory drive belt on a Ford Fiesta.

Needed a notched trowel for the camper project, I know I have at least one but not sure where I stashed it/them... so stopped at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore first... they had options so I ended up with 3, two V notch and one square, and found a Estwing 16oz claw hammer, got it all for $6...

Finally hooked the phone to the computer so here's the haul from that auction a couple weeks ago, yes the parts washer is a mess :). Aside from that the other day I got a purple HVLP spray gun from HFT the other day to spray the contact adhesive which worked ok, needed a bigger nozzle but we made it work... today I ended up at HFT since the wife was getting a hair cut and got the Bauer cordless flex shaft rotary tool deal, it's pretty nifty, might just use it more than the dremel... The sprayer thing with acetone apparently has a leak at the fill cap somewhere as it doesn't hold pressure long, it drains down to a couple psi fairly quick but doesn't leak liquid, the valve core was half a turn loose so I thought that was it but it wasn't...

I went to another auction today (I know, shocking... I can quit anytime I want, I swear... lol) and didn't do too bad... my mom got me a cute little 1 pint safety gas can like this for WAY less so it'll go on my oddities shelf :). Also got a couple bins of tools, nothing amazing just chisels (some name brand) and some sockets, 3/8" SK short breaker bar and Proto 3/8" to 1/2" adapter and haven't dug through the wrenches yet...

Finally upgraded to a better tool kit for the 2011 than the one I've just slapped together over time.

I've always been a weatherpack kinda guy. But the price was right enough that I thought I would try these...

I mentioned this elsewhere but I bought this 1940's DeWalt radial arm saw at an estate auction for $1.26 after fees & tax. @alwaysFlOoReD thought it was pretty cool:

It needed both bearings in the motor replaced and a new table. Bearings were easy, about $20 worth of parts. The table was a challenge, this is what I had to start with:

After spending a few hours studying these I decided to build a "Mr. Sawdust" table which is basically two pieces of MDF with steel bars epoxied into slots to keep the table from bowing. I had a 28" wide piece of scrap MDF so that's how wide I made it. Cut a couple other pieces up for the back pieces as well:

After assembling the whole thing I realized that straight cuts will be fine but angles will start with the blade slightly into the back block piece... should have done that differently but it'll work. I ran a whole bunch of test cuts and had to run the table through the planer to get it flat but eventually after some adjustments on the saw itself, I was able to get a nice straight cut. Then, I moved it over into my wood shop shed and made a nice masonite sacrificial top.

It is right at home here with some of my other ancient woodworking tools. I need to built a better stand for it, this one is actually for my blasting cabinet but that thing leaks so bad that I might just get rid of it. I like this saw way better. Need to get an appropriate blade for it but it'll work for now.

Less than 24 hours later, I stop by my favorite thrift store and score four nice 9” RAS blades for $5 each!!! Someone, probably some poor old fella that died, dumped a bunch of tools there. Unbelievable, I was debating spending $60 on a new Freud blade…. These are old school non carbide blades but they will work perfect for my purposes!

Be careful, those are all positive rake. They will have a tendency of grabbing. Negative rake of a couple degrees is what I've read is best. You could probably hand file that into those blades...
