What do you do with the oil when the large tank is full?

Ideally, that coincides with winter weather arriving. So you burn it in the waste oil heater to keep the shop warm. Otherwise, you find a recycling place to take it to.

Pretty much what Eric mentioned, I haven't gotten that far yet... I was toying with getting a waste oil burner for the shop if I find one or make a boiler (that's not the right word I don't think, wood fired water heater for floor heat) and such to heat the shop and put in a oil drip to supplement... at the moment there's only like 30 gallons, I'll figure it out, worst case I could get rid of some to someone I know with a waste oil burner at their work...

I save my oil and give it to the guy who does my inspections, they have an oil burner.

I only ask because it seems like it might be difficult to pawn off 300 gallons of used motor oil. If only because it would be difficult to move around compared to 55gal drums.

If I go to my local recycling center with more than one jug of used oil, they give me a dirty look and assume I’m a business owner trying to get rid of it cheap.

You might notice that there is a tractor in front of that tank, and it's on a pallet... the tractor can lift like 2k pounds which isn't quite enough to lift that thing full but enough for the moment...

It also makes good fire starter or accelerator for bonfires, but that's technically frowned upon so I definitely don't do that...

Apparently I just bought two pallet jacks at an online auction... was trying to get a propane furnace thing for the shop but the price went up more than I was comfortable and it was ending about the time the pallet jacks were... they were $30 plus fees, supposedly one works and one needs work so probably just an O ring or fluid... They have dumb loadout times (estate so that'll happen) so my brother will pick it up Friday for me conveniently... Pretty much won't see them until Saturday so will update then... one would be handy working on some things in the shop so we'll see, can't go too wrong for $34...

I scored a OEM Tools master inner tie rod tool from a pawn shop on Tuesday for $40

Half full bucket of impact sockets last week, $50, had a bunch that I needed

Nice brand new Kobalt pipe/tubing cutter, Stihl screwdriver and a ratchet strap for $5

I also scored a couple buckets of random welding stuff from an estate sale - $20 for the lot. I didn't even look through it until I got home but man, what a score. That is an IR 125 needle scaler in the pic - $200 tool alone plus all the other stuff. Two complete Oxweld brand torches that are way bigger than I need, I'll look for a body for the other two (I think they're also both Oxweld) but there are a ton of Victor tips. Regs might be junk, fittings are loose. Lots of little grinding/sanding wheels.

I just bought some chuck keys on amazon that will hopefully have one to fit my new to me drill press, the junk Harbor Freight 4 way key doesn't fit good... $12 seemed cheap enough to try for like 5 pieces... I broke 2 drill bits today making a collar for the table height handle in the drill press when they caught and spun then caught in the chuck and grenaded the bits... way more cost effective than getting a new 5/8" drill chuck...
