New tools you've bought recently?

Not exactly bought but I needed to disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail on the '00 Explorer which is much bigger than the normal quick release tools so I improvised, I cut off a 3" piece of 1/2" PEX tubing, split it lengthwise , cut half of it off so it was easier to deal with and only had 1" of full circle, tapered the business end with a file so it could push the spring out of the way and it worked perfectly...

That's rather awesome, I never did get my 96 filter changed

I've had fuel filters as long as I've had the headers, might as well change that while I'm in there... that will take the normal 3/8" quick release tool that I have in my tool box somewhere... the one for the fuel rail is not the normal standard size... I'm sure it's in the kits but I have 15' of 1/2" PEX...

I needed wrenches the other day and I'm on a road trip. And I already have multiple sets. So when I saw sets of stubby wrenches on sale for half price, I thought hey, this works. I'm not buying multiples and it serves the purpose in my current situation.

I found some 4" disks from the salvage place, 10 for 7 bux, walmart and farm store didn't have anything that size and I didn't want to stop at the hardware place so I went on out there and susprize!
Only trouble was they weren't the right ones :/

Got a small floorjack (Canadian tire) and folding tire iron (Walmart) for $49 and $18.
The floorjack has a 13 3/8" lift range at 2 tons and has enough in it to get this thing up and pull the 31s off. And the folding tire iron has 4 lugnit sizes which is good because there's all kinds of different nuts holding these wheels on. I may try to find some so they all match.

I would say that a floorjack is my favorite to carry around. It's got several uses and makes the job much easier. I like to store it behind the front passenger seat and secure it in with a ratchet strap.

Went to a swap meet today at the tractor show thing and got a few things, a small propane torch with mounted ignitor for $1, some sockets my setup was missing, a long carbide die grinder bit, a smallish rail road track anvil and a couple wood handles for stuff...

I broke down and ordered the top box for my new toolbox.... I'm hoping it'll be here next Thursday. Can't wait to do some rearranging!

I bought a 3/4" impact socket at Lowe's because I can't find the one I have and Amazon keeps cancelling the orders for the ones they have online.

Also, what is going on with the price of Craftsman tools? I may have to switch brands.

I picked up a few odds and ends at the truck show in Carlisle.

Of course, Eastwood had a booth. Picked up a saw and extra blades. Plus some diamond cutoff wheels

And something for those pesky bigger fasteners. 3/4" drive.

Picked up my top box yesterday and my wife helped unload it. What a heavy bastard. Had a dent in the front, HF comped me 20% off. Started putting tools in it last night. I can’t believe how tall it is!
