Just picked up the Ranger on Friday night, while driving it home blew the Tranny by pushing it too hard.
72k original miles
4.0 4wd with the A4LD, looking at options on whether to go with a reman right now and build my blown one or switch to manual or not right now
It has Headers on it right now, no exhaust behind the cat, A/c need's a recharge, and interior is in great shape, Title was nothern so there is some rust underneat but plans will take care of that:
Mod's to come are:
Tranny obviously, next 2-3 weeks will be getting it taken care of
2 inch body lift so that I can take care of the rust underneath
Dual exhaust, can't really drive right now as its straight off the cat...
Wet Okales or other Neoprene seat covers for inside
4 or 6inch suspension lift - whatever it takes to fit 35's
Cutout Flares - have some rust on the bed, and I love the look of cutout flares
Paint job - will be last thing I do
Me, Currenty have a 77CB550 project bike - Cafe Racer
A 2002 Saleen S281 that I built, but am currenty parting out and putting back to stock - then selling
1992 4Runner - built but for sale
Ranger is taking the place of all the above toy's, then I'm buying a house here in Florida and I'll get more toy's, think family oriented toy's though - boat, jet ski's, 4 wheeler etc...
bought the truck to be my Daily driver that I will mod slowly, ok, probably not too slow, but within 6 months expect all the above mods to be complete, just need to sell the other vehicles off and then pay the remainder of my credit card bills off and I'll start putting 500-1k a month into it fixing it up so won't take long once I start
