Hey everybody, just got a couple of questions. i got a deck in my 99 ranger. i got it installed and everything. a friend of mine just got rid of his truck and gave me his ported box with a 16 inch sub in it. i got it all mounted and everything. but the deck i have wont allow me to get the cables connected unless i pull it out and hook it up there. that means i have to leave the deck out and showing all the wires and stuff. is there anyway i could run it threw the ashtray or is there somewere i could run it out of? do i have to cut into my dash or anything? just need some info/input. thanks

James

get under there and look around. you should be able to run the wiring under the dash up to the radio. Not sure where the best place to run them is but they will fit with no cutting of anything.

stick the wires back there, and start pushing them around. you'll find a spot eventually. then you can zip tie it to any random object you can find until you get to a side of the cab, then run it underneath your trim panels and carpet until you come to the back where you can slit the carpet with a razor blade and run the cables up through that hole. should be BOOMIN with a 16!

theres there are places to run it. its ok if it looks like an LA freeway on crack

k thanks guys. ill go start looking around. under there and find somewere. whenever i get it all done ill post vid of sound clips and stuff so yall can see it. will come back if i get lost or need anyhelp thanks for inputs!

wells i finally did a little looking and the easiest way i found was run it throught the ashtray. surprizeingly it worked out very easy. so now i got it all hooked. got a temp amp though. going to go for more power here later on when i get my next check.
