New to this, Need advice

I recently purchased a 1994 Ford Ranger 2wd. It has 215 70R 14 tires on it (the door calls for 225 70R 14). I'm intending on putting a 2 or 3 inch body lift on it soon, and would like tires to match this lift. It has a 3.0L, and I intend it to be my daily driver, with a lil offroad play every now and then. What would be the best sort of tire and size to get? I would prefer not to change rims.

you will be wasting your money on any lift if you want to keep the 14 inch wheels. the largest size 14 inch tire will fit without any lift at all. none of them are very tall... maybe 27-28 inches tall tops. that 14 inch rim will also limit your off road play severely as you won't have much ground clearance, so BE VERY CAREFUL on the trails.
if you really want to off road at all, and have taller tires, you will need to go to 15 inch rims. imho

Like i said, it's going to be a daily driver first, offroad second. Round here we dont have hills and such much, just Mud really. I live in rural NC.

been your way more than a few times. so, like i said, don't waste your money on a lift with 14" tires. just check all the online tire sellers and pick the tread you like then get it in the largest 14" they have and it will fit just fine.

added: try to find a ---/75x14 tire as it will be taller. 70 and 60 series tires will be wider, but shorter.
