Hello everyone. Glad to join the forum and enjoy the great conversation. I recently acquired a 1989 XLT project and have found a lot of useful information on this forum. It has a six inch lift and 35 inch tires, along with an early 70’s 302 with a five speed. It is a good start and I have plans for an 8.8 swap for the rear axle soon.
I have had many Fords in the past but this is the first Ranger. No serious off road work planned, just looking to have a good looking and capable machine for the occasional trail and dunes.

Cool set up, man! Nice truck
Welcome

Nice ride. Looks like everything so far has been done right. Keep it up.

Clean looking truck! Welcome!

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Lots of things left to fix and modify on my project so I look forward to your input in the future.

Welcome to the forum! I agree, that's really a cool truck. What specific tires are you using? I'm planning to buy a set, I'm currently looking for ideas.

Thanks. They are 35 x 12.5 x 15 Maxxis RAZR MT. They don’t howl much at speed on the road and were the only on/off road tire I found that carried a 40k mile warranty.
