Hey! I own a 1986 Ford Ranger 2.9L V6 red, ext. cab. Bought it in July 2009 with 35,000 original miles. Little old lady down the road drove it 1/2 a mile to work every day and lived across the road from her church, so it's stayed running all these years, just not much. I Love the truck and don't planning on selling it for a long, LONG time.

I've used this site for references when my TPS went out earlier this year and decided to join now that my brother and I have fixed up my dad's 1995 4.0L V6 tan ext. cab. Figured I might could get help with either ranger when I need it, so thanks in advance to anyone who will answer my questions!!

An old lady that drove it to church....

Next to finding one stored in a barn for 25 years, that's one of best scenarios for finding a mint car / truck!

Welcome to the boards man...I think we'll need pics of your truck. Research to help with your future questions :D

Welcome. Sounds like a prestine truck you have there. :icon_thumby:

New to Forum too

Im new to the Forum too. I just joined. Now im ready for some knowlegde on an issue with a vin locked superchips flashpaq that I gladly took a screwwing on. Thanks Craigslist. I hooked it up to my truck last night and discovered it was vin locked. Somehow it tried to go ahead and uplaod a performance tune to my EECV. During the uplaod it failed. Now my ecu is acting crazy and my truck is dead. The Ford dealer said they could reprogram it if it wasn't smoked. I will find that out monday. In the mean time Im looking for a backup. I have a 2000 Ranger Trailhead with 3.0 ffv. I can possibly buy a 1998 ranger ffv computer today. I need to know that it will work before I buy it. Need knowlegde and lots of it. I know Im an idiot but I gotta learn somehow. Nice to meet you all. That does sound like a nice truck. I bet it runs better than mine right now.
