New to the forums.. stock 1987 b2


Also the 1997 7,700lb Package F-150's had 7 lugs

It started as a F-250LD in 1997, but somewhere around the model year 2000 they decided it didn't make much sense to produce two vastly different F-250's, so the F-250LD went to a F-150 7700. They were both pretty much the same thing, a F-150 with a reinforced frame, stronger tranny, bigger brakes, and a 10.5" rear axle... and of course the goofy 7 lug wheels. They also had a 5.4 standard with fairly deep gears (3.73's or 4.10's)

Really they are not all that common, but I still see one every now and then so they are not all that rare either.

I just noticed one of our Superduties at work is an XL with the same style of hubcaps, still has seven fake lugnuts although the truck has eight.:icon_confused:
