[Six Rangers]

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum but not to Rangers. My current 2008 XLT 4x4 Supercab is my sixth Ranger. I was glad to find it a few years ago with 55k on the clock. It has just about 70k now. I noticed a few quirks with my transmission recently. I see quite a few articles on the subject...hope they shed some light on the problem.

Looks like there is no shortage of making it work to earn it's keep.

Working them heats the fluid... don't be shy about stepping up the trans cooler game. It surely won't hurt.

Did that truck live in Chicago before you bought it? There are a few places these like to rust. But it looks like a nice score... pretty close to what I bought a few years back.

If it has a 4.0L SOHC... do a search for timing chain adjusters... they're considered maintenance items and you're getting close.
