Hey All!
Names Ed, and I’ve been a Ford guy all my life, but this is my first small non-V8 truck.

Awhile back I saw a small-block powered Splash at a local cruise night and decided I wanted something like that. And since I’m currently building a 347 for my 95 Mustang and will have a 5.0 left over I half heartedly started looking.
Next thing you know, this falls into my lap. Was a running driving truck then was stolen and had blown head gaskets. The kid tried to work on it and got in over his head so it was given to me.
I’m fixing the 3.0 for now, but I will be building a 5.0 for it soon. Besides the 95 Mustang engine, I just brought home a complete core 99 Explorer engine with the GT40P heads and intake.

Anyways, I’m one of this guys that goes all in on something and since I’m semi retired and have too much time on my hands, I’ll probably be on here a lot.

Here are my little Fords:

The hood on the ranger is nice. More room for a giant blower!

Awesome! Welcome to TRS!

Welcome. I like the wheels on the SN95. Ranger project sounds like a lot of fun.

Thanks! I’ve gotten more comments on that hood! The kicker is, I have no idea who manufactured it. There are no markings like the hood on my SN has.

The Ranger looks to have been dropped already... should be a fun project.

Welcome to TRS...

I kinda thought it looked a bit lower than others but wasn’t sure as I don’t really know these trucks all that well yet.
and thanks for the Welcome!

I'm not all that versed on what it takes to lower one... but there are a few members that are. When you make a build thread post some pictures of what you have suspension wise and I'm certain some will know what you're working with.

A 93 would be a twin I-beam front suspension. Hopefully, it was done with new beams for lowering the front and spring under conversion for the rear.

Howdy.

So it appears the general consensus is that it has been lowered already?
I should have the 3.0 buttoned back up today and will then get underneath and see what I have for suspension components. I do know this truck is a twin I beam setup. I don’t think it has drop beams though. I see there is a 2” drop that appears to have some sort of plate or something for the front. Maybe it’s that? I was looking at the DJM 3/4 Dreambeam drop in the end, unless there’s an ifs conversion that I can do fairly easily when I put the 5.0 in it.

Check this out...

Then cruise though this forum for other lowered build projects...

Definitely looks lowered when looking at the spacing between the tires and fenders.
