I've got a 99 ranger 4x4. When I removed the t-case transmission fluid started leaking from the transmission side. Is this normal or is there a seal in there that I need to replace?

That's normal, there's no seal in the back of the transmission. When you put the transfer case back on just put some RTV silicone at the mating surface and call it macaroni, then check the transmission fluid level once done.

Outstanding! Thanks for the info!

Like Scott said, ensure you call it macaroni.

If you call it farfalle, or even tortellini.. woooah boy. You'll be in for a ride.
