Hi, my name is Mat. i just picked up my first truck, but not my first Ford. :icon_bounceblue:

About me, I am 24 live in utah, My main auto interest is in euro cars, so some of that influence might show.

about my truck
1983 Ford Ranger diesel

the PO took out the diesel for a 2.8 carbed V6. i only paid 150 for this truck. it runs great for being a hack job of a swap. there is minimal rust for its age only on the bed around the fender. but the rest of the truck is rust free and pretty much dent free i felt i got a DAMN good deal!

history about the truck

it was used for stealing tools from construction sites :idiot: and was impounded by the towing company i bought it from. the truck was for sale for 3 months with no interest untill i came along.

anyway on with the pics, they were from the ad i havent taken my own yet

Welcome to TRS. Yep, you did get a real deal on it, and it's actually a nice looking truck. In fact, it does look like a perfect vehicle for stealing tools from contruction sites. Hope that you put it to better use.
What's up with the title of your post? "S truck" ain't a Ranger (in fact, that's a bad word to some folks around here :) ). If it's just a typo, you can edit it. Anyhoo, welcome. This place is addicting.

s truck as in SMALL truck lol not like an S 10 or S15 i was gonna get an s10 cause they are so common but the first gen rangers look so much more bad ass on bags :D

the plans i have are 2.3t swap and bags obviously but i am going to finish the motor in my Volkswagen before i work on the truck

HaHa! OK; I thought maybe "small trucks", or could've meant "S-10", too. But you gotta admit, the way you wrote "SMALL" in caps in the reply do look funny.
Anyway, you did get a deal, and it's a good looking truck. Plans sound good, too. There's quite a few guys here into lowering, and I wouldn't mind at all having a turbo 2.3 in one of these trucks. Good luck!
