Hey guys....im new here. I bought my ranger about 2 months ago and have already started on my parts list. Im a college kid goin to UTI in Sacramento...so my budget is kinda tight......

its a 92 4x4 xtra cab with a 4.0.:yahoo:

What are some of the best things I can do to my truck?

yes. we need details and pics! and welcome to trs

Welcome to TRS.

You have a beautiful bosom.

:icon_rofl:

I had to look...

Welcome to TRS...once you get over the initial shock of what we see or don't see, I'm sure you will find most of us quite friendly...especially if you have nice boobs...

hahaha.....just so you all know I am a dude.....lol But I thought the boobs would be a clever signature. :icon_thumby:

I want to do a lift...like 4" or 6". I already put 31s on it (top pic) and some engine mods.

that is a NICE truck! definitely a keeper! well, what kind of a budget are ya lookin at?

THANK YOU!!

I love my Ranger......I am never going to get rid of it.....it was a steal with such low miles. 140k miles not one thing wrong with it. I got it for $2000!!.:shok:

But my budget is a little tight as I am in college and on my own now!:headbang:

But I can spare a few hundred bucks a month. and EBAY is my best friend!!:icon_thumby:

Nice looking truck man!
Good deal, should last you a long time.

My 01 is going to turn to 230,000 miles tonight, when I run to town.

Well for a tight budget I would go with an ebay body lift. You can get them for like 50 bucks and it gives you 3" solid inches for bigger tires. But I would probably just stay with 31's but get some nice M/T's or A/T's and some 15x8 rims. Once you get out of college you can swap over to a Suspension lift and 33's.

if you have a manual transmission, then defintly get the hurst shifter, its somewhere around 220 bucks through summit or jegs. well worth the money. and id put some manual hubs on it and ditch the auto's. i got my manual hubs through autozone. they are the cheaper milemarker brand. some say they are not tough enough, but ive ran them for 3 years now with no issues. i cant recall the cost of the hubs or the needed spindle nut kit, seems like it was all under 200. but it has been a few years and im sure prices have changed. when i got my hurst, they were only 200 at the time. if you plan on bigger tires than 31's you are going to want to regear. 3.73's arent going to be deep enough. and im only assuming you have that ratio. you may only have 3.55's

I have an auto trans. Yeah the tires I have now are 31" Toyo A/T's

And so you guys know...I was at the mall about an hour ago and had a sticker made for my windshield. Its 3 feet long and says TheRangerStation.com in a cool font.....Im going to put up pics in the morning. :icon_cheers:

I saw a 4" Suspension lift on ebay for a little over $400.

Also if anyone knows of any tranny rebuild kits for my truck.....please let me know.:icon_thumby:
