new to owning a Ranger & to web site

Hi, just bought first Ranger and found this site. Figured I would need all the help I could get.
I have a 1986 Ranger 2.3 L with A4LD automatic. At least that is what I have been able to find out about it. Looking forward to learning more. Hope you all have a great day.

Thanks Hagan for the reply. Glad no one took afence .
From what you said about the A4LD transmission,I take it am in for some prob lems. It already has some shifting problems but for the price I didn't think I did too bad.Is there a manual transmission that could be swaped in place of the automatic? I would rather hav the manual tranny anyway. Again,thanks for info.

NEVER SHOW WEAKNESS -NOOB,now you get TWO FOR FLINCHING!!-LOL ! I am sure there are lots of trannys but the clutch pedal/hyd install is the issue
