Afternoon! Picked up a 94 XLT 4x4 with the v6 4.0 and auto transmission.
Previous owner has taken apart the headlight switch bc it was making the ding sound. The plug is destroyed. Anyone able to point me towards a wire diagram for that?

I've provided some pics of said carnage.

Also, how much of a pain is it to replace/repair the door pins?

Thanks!

I'm moving this to the lighting forum...

Well that connector is toast by the looks of things. I dont have wire diagrams for that. They sell replacement parts...

Might be better to post the door hinge problem separately in the body forum.

Get a repair pigtail; Standard S607 is one. RockAuto screen capture of what you need:

Either order from Rock or check a brick-and-mortar store (which may have to order it).

Probably be looking at replacing the light switch, too, while you're there.

Headlight switch testing, schematic and connector pinout:

Door pin switch replacement is straightforward; unscrew the old, screw in the new, but be careful as they switch +12V and it's a constant power circuit.

is that pic from an EVTM manual by chance?

the switch tested good (surprisingly). the piece of plastic between the plunger and the switch is broken. does it serve any purpose? (should i try gluing it back on the part that's broken off in the switch)

Thanks!!

Yes.

Not sure; I don't see, or can't visualize what is broken. That being said, if the switch tested good it shouldn't hurt anything to try gluing some broken plastic.

Could have sworn I posted the pic before!

That's a plastic retaining nut. You can try gluing, but you'll likely have to replace it. The part still in the switch is threaded in. If you can back it out (lefty loosy) you may have a better shot at the gluing. It's supposed to be "finger tight" only.

And for anyone looking for the 'headlight switch retaining bezel' in the future, it's part number E9TZ10852A and it's ~$10 at Amazon

Update
I replaced the harness and was able to get headlights and dash dimmer working again. I also had to replace the driver side door jamb switch and that circuit is working as intended now as well.

Thanks for the help! on to the next thing :)
