New taillights!

During replacing of my stock tails, I was kinda unsure of what tails to us, 01-05 or 06+. I did the 3-2 bulb setup and figured I will figure it out later.

After the swap, I finally decided on my 2010 taillights over my 2001-2005s. Took it and had the truck washed and then took some photos at the parking garage.

yes, they are a direct swap, however you need to re-wire a little... actually, thinking about it, it's the re-wire i need to do on my bike...

now, the tail lights, look god damn wicked! i love the newer style tails!

theres a tech library article about the taillights, so u get the idea of which ones u can install without re-wiring

the typical rewire, do you guys just use the trailer converters? i can't seem to find the origional mod thread...

Pics were taken with my Eris phone. Effects added with the Camera360 app.

To sum up the mod thread, which I found confusing, cut the current Green wires to your taillights and run a wire from left tail to yellow trailer wire, right tail to green trailer wire.

Also, you will have to swap plugs from turn signal to backup plug. This can be done by swapping pins to the other plug. What was the turn signal plug can be left unplugged and tied up.

Easy as a 20 minute blinker mod.
