I picked up a 01 Standard cab 2wd with a 5.0 last month. I loved the truck but hated the sloppy steering. Bit the bullet & bought a ford reman rack & some moog tie rod ends. I installed it in my driveway this weekend, took about 4 hours taking my time & have to make a run to get fluid. It made a night & day difference. Gone is the excessive play. If you’re on the fence & your steering feels sloppy a new rack is worth it.
