finally went to the junkyard again and found a decent seat.

its the *passenger* bucket seat of a 1994 explorer

i got the tracks off the new seat today, as well as cleaned it up very well
tomorrow ill take the old seat out and translplant the old track onto the new seat so i can mount the seat belt right.

now i gotta find a centre console....


heres the old seat. 60/40 you prollly cant tell, but this seat is trasssshhhh the cushion is horrible and disfigured.

well here they are, its pretty great, the seat is nice,
the only thing is the controls are still reversed until i can get the upholstry off the old seat and figure out how to gut the controls from it..... gotta buy some big star bits.....

but it looks good, gotta figure out a center console quick its awkward driving with no arm rest any ideas guys?

I've been looking to swap out the 60/40 seats in my 02 ranger with some mastercraft bajas. But I'm with you, not having a console will be awkward. I've seeing some pics of 02 FX4's that have a shorty center console, that may work from the same year model FX4 (I have no idea if they make one for your year model, I do know that they did make an 02 FX4).

thought there were some Xplorer consoles in the for sale forum? or maybe back at your jy? just a thought.

yeah i love the buckets now. the absence of a console is definatly a drawback for now, but im anxious to get one, it'll be nice.

i check the junk yard while i was there, all the exploder consoles were horrible. but im going to keep lookn.
