hey guys I finally got my ranger that I wanted so badly. I've had it for about 4 months now and not so good news. its a 1994 4x4 5spd 4.0 regular cab with a 4" body lift. I wanted a 98 extended cab but this one came up instead. So far I've had to put a new MAF, new 31"x10.50" tires, new clutch (bad), and now a new heater core and thermostat. it seems like nothing has went right with this truck. I bought the truck because i thought that since it was a ranger then it would get good gas mileage...well i was wrong...i'm getting 16-17 mpg.. I wish somebody would have told me that the 4.0's might as well be V8's before I bought it

a taller truck with bigger tires wont get very good mileage. i think youre doing pretty good with it though. if the speedometer hasn't been recalibrated since your tire change, your mileage calculations will be off. also, if you have really tall gears, it wont help mileage any either. i would look for 4.10's with a 4.0 and 31's. where in ohio are you? im just west of toledo.
