I would say that your plugs and wires aren't the culprit then
check the coil. you might have a coil pack that is failing when it gets hot.
grab a can of air (like you get for cleaning your computer) and when it is missing again, cool off the coil pack with that can of air and see if the problem goes away.
another method would be to get a two liter bottle of tap water (room temp) and keep it in the truck, when it is missing pull over in a convenient spot where you can get help iff necessary and turn the truck off.
pour the water slowly on the coil until it cools down (try to avoid any actual connectors, but the trickle of pouring water on the coil shouldn't get into the connectors if they still have good seals on them...), then restart the truck and see if the miss went a way.
Common problem but the fix depends on year and engine...which we don't know. Search for intermittent miss and you'll find lots of hits/discussions. Be patient. If your situation is like others' it'll take a while to track it down and fix it.
Had the same prob. Turns out it was dirty fuel pump fuse. Pull it in and out a few times...If that works. Do a good clean-up of the whole fuse box. You can also check for arcs by running engine in the dark.
