New owner... 02 Ford Ranger Edge in Southeast, Pa

My name is Jon but I go by Burnt or as my username states Burnt2Death. I am from Southeast PA.

I bought a one owner 2002 Ford Ranger Edge "Plus" on November 11th 2011.

It has the 3.0L v6 engine. It is the regular cab 2dr model. Has Hi/Low 4 Wheel Drive. The truck itself has 148k miles but runs smooth and strong still.

This is my first Ford and my first pick up truck in general. I did have an old Jeep Renegade a few years ago..

I bought the truck bone stock besides the soft bed cover and the tail light covers.

Looking into lifting it, getting an intake, side steps and a brush guard, upgrading the exhaust and getting bigger tires.

I was very active on other tuner and street car club forums. And very active on the Chevy Cobalt forums as that is what my last car was. Looking forward to finding some useful info and to check out a new forum in general.

Wired up new driving lights... Also ordered new 31" tires. Should be in the garage in the next day or two.

Kumho Road Venture MT KL71 265/75-R16 tires are in! Getting them mounted in the next few hours..

What are your plans with the truck? What would you like to do with it? I'd like to nudge you into getting a locker for the rear so you can get into off roading more lol. What gears do you have? Larger tire might be hard to turn if you have "highway gears". Anyway, let us know your plans so we can spend your money for you! haha nice truck. I've got a sonic blue 4.0L 4x4 edge myself.

My goal is for a 3" body lift, eventually a 3" suspension lift, change the gears, get a brush guard, side steps, locker, winch, on board air system, upgrade the wheels, etc...

I intend to take it on serious trails and off road excursions across the country eventually. Everything from fun in the mud to long camping weekends on trails. I have high hopes for this truck. I have been having a lot of fun with it and its still mostly stock besides the new tires and some other accessories.

New tires have been installed and I raised the torsion bars an inch. Still need to cut a little of the fender and the fender flare because they do still rub a little.

Just get new wheels bro. 4" backspacing should be perfect. If you wanna go cheapo, a set of black cragar soft 8's in a 16x8 size are only around 50 bucks a wheel on Summitracing.com. The black would go soooo nice with that blue
