I recently bought a 1990 Ranger, 4.0 Auto AC (belt is not conected to compresor). It is lifter (unsure of exact lift) with 31x10.50x15 Goodyear Wrangler AT/D2. IT is a great truck with the exception of a little problem starting after it warms up http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8797
The only thing that it needs currently is manual hubs and it will be great. This isnt my first Ranger, I previously had a 2002 Ranger Edge that I loved but had to sell due to massive mechanical problems (oil pump went and Ford was giving me alot of hassle repairing it but gave me a book value trade in for it in good mechanical condition) So im back to a Ranger for my winter/off pavement vehicle.
Here is a kind of crapy pic but you still get the idea of what it looks like.
