Hey everyone, I just purchased a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge Sport. Its a single cab, manual transmission, V6 3.0L. Its has 210k miles but has been taken great care of and runs great.

I live in southeast AZ with my family. Moved here recently, I was born and raised in Southern California.

The plan is to drive this for a while, get it tricked out, and pass it on to my son who is currently 13.

I grew up in the "mini truckin" scene...Ive had Chevy S10s, Toyota Pickups, and a different Ranger before this one. I'll post some pics later.

Im probably going to start a new thread to show the progress of the truck.

Welcome to TRS! Rangers can be great father/son projects.

sounds like a great 'lil truck.
because it's a 3.0 I'd advise removing the cam sync top and squirting a few drops of oil on the bushing.
cheap insurance against the bushing failing.

The previous owner kept it pretty clean. Its going to be a work in project, but not a bad start

Former work truck spec that's clean? Wow! Usually those get beat to death.

With the manual that 3.0 should be great for a first time driver. Enough power to pull out quickly, not enough to get to stupid speeds. Thank you teaching new drivers what a clutch is.

Nice! Welcome! That will be great for a cool lowered first truck.

I just sold my 04 edge 3.0/ 5 speed single cab step side to a buddy who loves it and takes care of it.

That truck will run forever and get decent mileage too.
