Current 2004 Ranger XLT, 2 dr Extended cab, 4wd auto 4.0l V6 owner. Had a 1993 Ranger XLT 2wd 3.0l 5speed. I've enjoyed both trucks. I've installed a Flareside bed, sprayed bedliner on the frame, bottom of bed and inside the bed. I've installed an STX grille, new front bumper, facia and fog lights. The headlights and taillight housings have been replaced with aftermarket units that are more like the 1998 units and LED bulbs have been used. Interior upgrades include 2004 Mustang manual cloth seats and a 2004 Explorer console that is in process of modifications to make it fit seamlessly. There are a few more upgrades that are in the que, just need the time and money to make them a reality!

Take care of the quirks\weaknesses of the V6~4.0L~SOHC Engine + 5r55e Tranny
& that 2004 should get you a long ways down the road.
