Just bought a1999 Mazda B3000 couple weeks ago. I had a B2300 about 20 years ago. Needing help.

Everyone needs help sometimes. But you need to explain what you are having trouble with before we can help.

Maybe I posted in the wrong place first.
I’m new here. Bought a 1999 B3000 Troy Lee edition a couple weeks ago. 141,000 miles. Third owner. Yesterday it suddenly started shaking very rough after I pulled out of driveway. Two weeks ago I changed transmission fluid and filter. Put a can of sea foam in the fuel tank. Had a small coolant leak which I pressure tested and turned out to be radiator cap. So replaced the cap and no sign of leak.

After the sudden shaking it threw a P0306 code - misfire on 6. I replaced fuel filter and today pulled the plugs and checked compression which is between 152 and 138 across all cylinders. #6 specifically was 150, so all within good range.

Next, I’ll clean intake. But beyond that, where do I look for the cause of misfire. I’m thinking either fuel or air at this point. Injector? Would another can of sea foam help? Air intake? Cam position sensor? Timing chain? Thanks in advance for replies!

If its isolated to one cylinder swap the plug, wire, and injector to another cylinder to see if the misfire moves. If the misfire moves replace said parts. If it doesnt move check to make sure your coil and injector are actually firing on that cylinder. If the injector isnt firing its probably the plug. If all is well then do a leakdown test.

Seafoam, cleaning the intake, cam sensor, and timing chain issues would effect more than one cylinder.

Okay. Thank you! So for clarification, if there were a problem with the cam sensor/synchronizer or the timing chain, it would show up in more than one cylinder?

Ok. Thank you. Checked #6 wire. It’s Cracked, brittle and burned in one place. Pulled 5 wire. Same thing. Replaced all wires. Running better. But wondering why those two wires cracked and burned.

I suppose that’s it. Or the wires were replaced and reinstalled in the wrong place. I routed the new ones in what seemed the safest coolest place.
