Solid Axle Ranger
Hello TRS, some people might recognize this truck... This is legoms013's old truck. I bought it from him just a couple months ago. Took it to the rubicon and a couple of other trips, with just 2 twisted drive shafts.
It is a 96' Mazda B4000 frame, motor, trans, steering column, & tailgate sitting under a 2000 Ranger cab. W/ 03' - '05 Headlight & grill.
Front bumper by WFO, shittybilt 8k winch, early tacoma rocksliders, LED light bar, etc
It has a Dana 44 High Pinion front axle from a 78' F150 narrowed to bronco width. w/ an aussie locker, 4.88 gears, GM 1-ton TRE's, BC broncos 5.5 coils, fox 2.0 shocks, james duff radius arms and coil buckets.
Rear is a 96' Explorer 8.8 w/ 4.88 and a powertrax locker, chevy 63" leafs, also ruffstuff diff covers front and rear.
4.0 v6 w/ 260,xxx , 5r55e (pretty much blown), & bw1354e
35 x 12.5 x 15" Kevlars on black pro comp rims
After daily driving it for about a month, I found that i had at least one cracked head ... and would also run hot on the freeway... time to over haul!
At the moment the engine is stripped down to the block, and am waiting for parts to arrive. I have brand new heads for it as well.
Will have the 5r55e rebuilt here soon
