New to the forum, have been lurking around a bit prior to registering.
Picked up an 1986 Ranger XLT w/ 150k. Outstanding Shape.
Purchased 89 5.0 EFI HO Engine, trans, ecu, harness, etc.
Pickup is Blue on Blue (interior)
Interior in Excelent shape,
No cracks, etc.
Truck bed had a bed line + camper on top of it. Not dents whatsoever or rust.
Amazing condition, paint shiny with a quick polish.
Parts List (immediate)
Engine Mounts - isntalled
Trans Mount (modifiying ranger mount)
Filter Relocation Kit (ebay)
Oil Pan - installed
New Fuel Pump / Tank (Ranger was fuel injected, but want to replace 20yr old parts) - on order
Need a few pulleys, just may by a pulley set.
Using the 5speed mustang trans
Custom drive-shaft came with the project.
Very excited, going for a sleeper understated look. little bit beefy tires obviously, but not slammed or lifted.
Basically trying to restore as much as possible and keep it extra clean.
Great forums btw !
