New icons for members & staff?

I was looking for info on the net and stumbled across these icons at coloradok5.com

I like the way they look like factory fender badges.

I don't have good graphics software to make anything. Anyone here have any good software and artistic ability?

It would be nice to make some for this site that looked like factory fender badges that said:

Moderator
Founder
Member
Tech Support
TOTM Coordinator

What we have now really sucks.

They'd have to be no wider than 100 pixels

I would just have 'Member' for the premium member icons and just use text (no icon) for regular members. Maybe a sample of both Member and Premium Member.

Anyone able to hook us up?

I'd be willing to give whoever's set of icons I chose something back in return (shirt, decals, membership...)

Maybe take the idea, but render the finished graphic more "Fordish"? Like Ranger emblems, right?

I agree that our icons are sort of "blah!", but IMHO those icons as pictured just look too much like the old Blazer emblems (I know, I figured out it must be a K5 website they came from). Maybe I'm having an identity crisis here?

Ya, I don't have a pic of a logo here......but here's a decal image for sort of an example:

It doesn't have to be outlined. I have the ford_ranger font if someone needs it here:

It doesn't even need to be that exact font if you wanted to use something close that maybe looked beter. When I saw those icons they actually reminded me of the Ranger fonts some at first. But the CK5 part obviously doesn't cut it.

I don't know. We need something. What we have now looks stupid.

Those Chevy emblems aren't going to cut it. They are the exact thing stuck to the side of my truck.

The ford_ranger font doesn't look all that great.....

I was looking at a '82 sales brochure for the Ranger. It doesn't even have that font.

Yeah, us older truck old farts are kinda partial to the old "Ranger" emblem style. But the newer emblem style is OK, too.

Keep workin' it, Legion. Great masterpeices usually take several renditions before getting the perfect final version.

They can only be 100 pixels wide. I tried doing it myself with the Ranger font and they looked crappy. I figured I needed to solicit the help of someone with more talent and better software.
