New house photos

Bought the house with white walls and nasty grey carpeting.

Painted and installed laminate this weekend. I also put up the rustic looking ceiling fan.

Note to self, invest in knee pads for hardwood floor installs..

You know.. once you get kids they're going to be up on that ledge all the time. Haha.

And is that the crappy laminate fake hardwood floor? NEVER drop something on it. Sure you can hit it with a hammer and nothing will happen, but anything rough/heavy and it will take a chunk out. Hard to replace too. We did the ceiling and floor with it, looks great but the ceiling was harder than hell to do.

You probably got higher grade/thicker stuff than we did. Ours was 1/4 inch, yours looks more like a half inch or better, unless the thickness I'm seeing is from an under sheet type thing.. we just put ours right over our real 2 inch thick hardwood floors.. my parents are idiots.

I was up there and painted once, I sent Heather up there that time as you see in the pics.

I got this flooring at Sams Club because it was cheaper than Lowes.

$27.28 a box and it had the underlayment already attached. I had to buy 18 boxes, but I have 3 extra's I plan to take back and get some $$ back!
