hi all new here, got a new head gasket for my 93 3.0. i was hopping i could get some pointers like am i going to need anything other than the gaskets. i.e. something i should replace while I'm in there, that sort of thing, just keep in mind I'm extremely broke as i have a 2yo. and another one due any day now so getting new rockers is out of the question, so is anything that costs lots of money (over $50 or so) for that matter.

Not much you can do for under $50.00.

I just had the heads on my 93 3.0 rebuilt and it cost me $395.00. Six exhaust valves, two exhaust seats and two cracks repaired. That included the heads being cleaned, resurfaced and magnafluxed.

The only advice i can give is to make sure you have the deck clean and use a high quality torque wrench when torquing the heads. Don't trust the wrenches you can rent from the parts stores. They can be out of calibration and we all know what that means. Bad torque can lead to leaks and a wasted job.
