Just got a 08 Tacoma and love offroading. I'm no stranger to forums having been a car guy my whole life. There are tons of offroading forums so trying to find a good one. Anyways, hi.

So why am I joining a Ranger forum? I sell land and we are looking for a company vehicle (most of our properties don't have roads yet) and trying to figure out what a good bang for the buck vehicle would be. Also checking out older toyotas and maybe jeep.

welcome, you can find an old 4x4 ranger or jeep pretty cheap. Maybe even an old toyota hilux.

If I was you I would look for a 97 4x4 ranger because 98+ is when they went to IFS.

The Hilux is just the Toyota Truck right? I thought Hilux was the UK name for it or something. I love that Top Gear episode when they tried to destroy it but couldn't.

I used to have an old 91 ranger, it took a beating like a champ. Kinda miss that truck... just not the puke green paint job lol.

in the words of RSH "this isn't tacoma station". naw just playin. rangers are pretty cheap you should definatly look into getting one

Yeah the old toyota trucks

what is going with you to these properties?

potential buyers, few people to clear land, etc...?

surveying equipment, or other stuff that needs to be out of the weather?

just a suggestion, the 91-94 explorer is just like an older ranger, but with room for 4 and gear, all out of the rain. you can find them with blown transmissions for cheap (well, if there are any left after "cash for clunkers")
