Hey guys, new guy here with 1987 4x4 2.9. Just got it on Saturday, not sure on how big the lift is yet though...

nice rig, what size tires do you have?
Thy look like 30" maybe so i am going to say you have a 6" lift

I'm not sure about the lift size or the tires just yet, they say " 275-75-16'. I'm 6'3 and its a pain in the a** to crawl into haha. Other than a sometimes jumpy idle it seems to run great.

Thanks! that pic makes it look a ton better than it actually does. The previous owner said he tipped it onto its left side so the fender and door were really thrashed. Here is a pic of it with a new fender and door. I'm digging the truck so far. Anything on these trucks to watch out for ?

The main thing I've heard to watch for is cracked heads because 2.9s are prone to that if they overheat but other than that I hear they're pretty stout engines. Also unless its been swapped you have a d28 front axle that's pretty weak but if your easy on the throttle when you wheel you should be able to make it work.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, I'll keep y'all updated. I'm currently installing new carpet in it.

Hehehe. Flying waffles.
