So I just got a 94 ranger xcab 4.0 splash on 33's and it still has the original 3.73 gears. I want to replace them before I start driving it with 4.56 gears.

I have been searching for hours and I can't seem to get a straight answer anywhere as to which gears and lockers I need. Spline counts seem different everywhere I search.
If I could at least get the correct part numbers from someone knowledgeable in these trucks it would go a long way! I want to get all the parts assembled so I can do this in one go front and rear.

So 4.56 gear set for a dana 35 front and 8.8 rear with 10 inch drums.
A truetrac for the rear looks like the best bet for me DDing this and offroading some.....and I have no idea what I can put in the front locker/lsd wise.
Any related seals I may need that does not come with the gear sets?

Thanks for reading please help I'm sinking here!

Never seen a ranger factory equipped with that ratio either...Pretty much a unicorn

I think I was not clear in my post.
My axle code is r6 which means an 8.8 with 3.73 gears.
My front axle is a Dana 35 (not a hybrid) (which I looked up from the tech article on here)

I would like help finding the correct gears to make it a 4.56 gearing for the front and rear, including a truetrac for the rear and suggestions for a front locker/LSD.

I do have a explorer rear end if I need to put it in, I don't plan on going any bigger than a 33 inch tire so if the stock rear will be good then I have no desire to have to change the rears just to have a little bit bigger axle. If I do need to then I will change it.

Buy the gears you want for the axles you have then get them installed. Spline count shouldn't matter as you're not changing axles, just gears. Check out the "parts store" top of page right side. I would get some kind of air or electric locker for the front. lsd sucks in snow and ice for turning and traveling sideways on hills. Opinions vary tho.

Thanks did not even see that store up there. I bought the gear set for the 4.56 gears.
Now I think I am going to put in the explorer rear....since its just sitting there and get a truetrac for the rear, or should I go full Detroit....and I plan on leaving the front open for now.
