My credo
You live every day, you only die once...
My name is Johnathon. I live in southeast Texas. I've had my Ranger for a few years now. Been on other forums and recently found this one.

I own a 1990 Ford Ranger. Super cab. 4wd. 3" body rise. 31x12" tires. 4.0 for now (351w swap coming). It has been a project since the day I bought it. I love the little truck. Almost sold it about a month ago then decided I wanted to keep it and build the heck out of it.

I plan to drop a 351w out of my 89 F250 into it and mildly build the engine. I almost considered just chopping the f250 frame down to Ranger size so I wouldn't have to worry about re-running everything. I want to throw some tires around 37 inches under. I will need to find a new roof skin for it as it has a very crappy sun roof in it now that I hate.

I am always open to ideas and suggestions.

Dude, what's up!

Welcome to TRS. It's better than the other Ranger forums out there, and is considerably more mature than half of them. A lot have come up over the last 10 years, but this one is still the most technical source.

What part of Texas are you from? Be sure to join the sub group here, Rangers of Texas.

Sounds like a baaad swap. People have done it, and it should be a blast to drive. Got pics?

Greetings from deep south Texas!!!! Sounds like a sweet little project you gog going on

I'm down between Houston and Beaumont. I do have pics, but their on my photobucket and my phone and I can't access my photobucket or connect my phone to this computer. Is there an app that I can access this site on? That would make uploading pictures easier for me since I don't use computers very often.

Thanks. It will be awesome when its done, but I have other priorities at the moment and don't know exactly when I will be able to devote a good amount of time to get it done.

The Photobucket app. It allows you to copy and post links with ease. You can either open TRS in your browser, or a Tapatalk-type app. There is a free version of one (or similar) that I used to use, but I don't remember what it was called. I eventually jsut paid the $1.99 for the Tapatalk app though. But this is a fairly easy way to do it. I still prefer a hardline hookup to a computer as well, though.

And priorities...yea, it happens. Whenever you get the time though.

BTW, there is a possibility that the TRS Banner will be coming to Houston (via I-10) from New Orleans. Give it a look see and let me know if you're interested.

Sweet more Texas people.

Alright. I wasn't sure if tapatalk had this site on it. I have the app already for a couple other forums. And I have the photobucket app. Don't really like doing anything on it except uploading pics to it.

Haha. Yeah. Once I get the project rolling with this truck, I would actually like to meet up with some of the local members around me. But that probably won't be for a while.

Welcome! Always good to see another Texan come aboard. I was born around your neck of the woods (Lumberton). I think we can all relate to that prioritizing-thing you're dealing with; me, I've got too much month at the end of my money, but I've already got a to-do list about a mile long!

I know how that money thing is. Thats one reason why this truck hasn't been back on the road since I bought it in September of 2011.

Greetings from San Marcos.

This place is great and we are privileged to have a vast array of knowledge from it's members.

Very considerate folks around here that take the time to school us less informed.

Thanks.

I have noticed that there is quite a bit of information here. I like it. I have been looking at this site for a little while now and just decided to sign up the other day.

We actually have quite a number of members from Texas. Some aren't added to the TRS map, and some aren't continuous active contributors.

Cool. I plan to stay pretty active on here. As long as I have a decent internet connection, I check this site a couple times a day.
