New guy here on my 2nd Ranger. My first Ranger was a '92 that was rear-ended by an uninsured motorist two weeks ago. I had bought it last August from a friend, who had bought it a few years before from another friend of mine. The '92 faired pretty well against the '77 Malibu that hit it. I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do with it yet, the bed will need replaced and the cab on the passenger side was damaged.

The main thing is I was OK and it lead me to my second Ranger.

It's a '99 with 176k on the clock, 2.5/5-speed. It's a little rough around the edges, but runs great. Some one bumped something in the front and it needs a header panel, bumper, left corner marker, lower valences, etc. I first thought I wanted to lower it (had a Nissan years ago that was slammed), but I'm leaning towards a small lift and a slightly bigger tire (has 235/75-15s on it already). That's all for now... :icon_thumby:

welcome, nice truck and I'am happy to hear that you are lifting it!

Man that must of been a pretty hard hit! Glad it wasn't worse!

Welcome to the site my friend, I was big into lowriding & even hydraulics when I was younger. I still have somewhat of an urge to give this "airbag suspension" a try. Always had a lifted 4x4 of some sort, just the older I get the higher I want to go!

Thanks fellas!

The guy in the Malibu said he was going 30-35, I'd say more like 45. I'm sure I'll never get a dime out of the deal, I'll probably sell the truck to my brother...

I really like lowered trucks, but the facility I work at has some muddy and rough conditions. So I really think lifting a couple inches (thinking coil spacers and add-a-leafs) with some 29" or so tires would be a good thing.
