Gentlemen (and ladies maybe?),

I'm back in the ranger game! Here's a pic.

Got it for $500 yesterday. Was told that it didnt run and was stuck in second. Was also told that it had been sitting abandoned for a year. Brought it home, threw a battery in it, slapped the stick around a little bit, and in true Ranger fashion it fired right up and pulled off the trailer.

It's tired, 1st gear doesn't work, and the interior is in shambles. But for $500 how can a guy complain.

Looking forward to the journey ahead and hopefully a shitload of help from this community.

Thanks for having me!

Yup it's in nice shape, virtually rust free and one small dent in the drivers rocker. Gonna use the hell out of this thing!

Welcome from another Montanan and fellow 1989 Ranger owner!
Tell us more about your truck. What size engine, how many miles, etc.

Welcome to the site. I'm always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Never do I get such deals.

72ish k on the clock. I'm betting it hasn't rolled over based on the condition of the truck.

Seems like it was a ranch rig, it has six tow hitch recievers welded to the bumpers, which is weird. And 12v quick connects in the bumpers, which I'm assuming was for implements of some sort.

Oh and it smells like grandma smoked cools in there while she was running hay or whatever it is that grandma did.

As a side note after getting it running (barely) for the first time in who knows how long, we bashed it through a field in 2 ft of fresh snow with no problems. Awesome, hilarious, a little scary. Classic ranger shit. Stoked!

I might be movin' to Montana soon..

...gonna be a dental floss tycoon.

Well Welcome to TRS MattyT.
I'm sure your in the right place on this site.
And like DVD I wish I would have came across such a good deal again.
Good luck with your new toy here in the near future.

Electronic shift transfer case and auto hubs?

Welcome, where abouts in Montana are you? I'm just over the border in SD. Nice to see others from the area on here.

We live in the headwaters of the Missouri. About 6 hours from the Black Hills. So we're basically neighbors.
