hey guys names Tommy im 17 from kalamazoo, mi. i recently bought my first ford and its a 1986 ranger 5speed, 2.9 for $1100. it needed a driveshaft (man was that a bitch to find) so i got one of those, changed the oil, spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor and she runs like a top. ive always kinda disliked fords but i already love this truck and its only been about 2 weeks since i got it. here it is....

Rangers can change anyone's mind about Fords; you either love 'em or hate 'em.

Any Plans?

p.s. welcome to the forums!:yahoo:

right now not really. i kinda wanna change the gearing to 3:73's i beleive its got 4:10's but if offroading is what i wanna do that dosnt seem very smart...idk and maybe 302 but those are ideas that probably wont turn into anything anytime soon. i have school and work most of the time

I'm running a 3.45 right now on a 2.3L and believe me, anything over stock in regards to tire size will be a pain to get up any inclines. Granted you have more power but the same idea applies. Stick to your schooling and only work on her over the weekends if you plan on using her for you daily driver. Otherwise work like crazy to be able to afford all the shiny new parts you'll be wanting.

Good luck, and keep all of us on the 'Station' posted.
