Hey everybody. I just thought I'd introduce myself. First off the site is great, very informative.

I guess the reason I'm here is because I picked up an 84 Bronco II for basically nothing. I had to tow it home but it was local so it was no big deal. It never really has ran at 100%. I'm hoping if I hang out here long enough, I'll start to get some ideas of where I want to go with this vehicle. I've been thinking about the Dura spark conversion, but I'm worried about Smog testing coming to my area.

Right now I also have a Full size Bronco, so I can afford to have the B2 down for a while.

BTW it's completely stock. It's an XLT with pretty much all the options for the time period. It has limited slip front and rear, five speed and I'm running 30" Cooper Discoverer STTs. I'll post pics soon if anyone is interested. It's not much to look at. Ha Ha.

Welcome DumpsterGuy, looks like the price was just right, just about anything's possible here, find a category you like & post pics as you go along. Don't worry bout looks...

I'd say go for it... if smog testing comes to Oregon, a lot of us are going to have some work to do. Welcome btw :icon_thumby:

Yeah. The most expensive part was the tires so far, and they were a craigslist find. I guess we'll see. I've noticed there are so many after market options for these trucks. I'm mostly trying to keep costs down, but I want it to be reliable above all.

Thanks for the welcomes.

Welcome to TRS. Tons of good tech info here. I'm not too far from you, just a bit south. I wouldn't worry too much about smog testing, I'm not even sure if Portland has it yet (could be wrong, I don't live up there) and I'm sure they will before Eugene/Springfield does.

Yeah I think I am going to go for it. Maybe I'll save the old junk just in case. I need to star finding parts now.

Cool to see others from Oregon on here.
