New From Monmouth IL

HI everyone I just joined here to learn more about my brothers new to him 2001 Ranger XLT extended cab.He just got it today,it has 116,000 miles and has the 4x4 Off road package,the 4.0 V6,red exterior, grey interior with Explorer power leather seats and console.Its not his first Ford either,he has a 93 F150 flare side 5.0 and had an 05 Escape which he just wrecked which is why he bought the Ranger.I am also not new to Ford's as I have a 96 Taurus GL and a 00 Mustang V6.I'll be taking pics tomorrow so I'll post them then.

Also found some interesting things today also.The power seat was wired in with speaker wire and the radio adapter was wired together with house hold wire nuts . I fixed all the problems tonight with new wire and wire connectors made for automotive use,so now I don't have to worry about the wiring causing a fire.

He bought it private.So far we haven't found any places where they cut in to the factory wiring though so thats a good thing.So it look like it was just those two things they messed up.

for you it would be about an hour and a half w of Peoria or an hour south of the quad cities for ma it is about 20 minutes west
