Hey guys,

My name is Joel, and I have joined this forum because I hit a deer last night on the freeway. I was driving my wife's '99 Ford Ranger XLT (3.0L 4x2). Here's the pics of my wife's truck this morning post-collision: http://picasaweb.google.com/sass.joel/ChristineSTruck#

For those of you familiar with Michigan, I was driving East down 696 coming from a buddy's house at about 3:00AM. I hit the deer in a construction zone doing about 65 MPH. The damage is not really that bad for hitting a deer, but my wife's really sad about the damage to the truck. What's worse, she was in the truck, and when I pulled over to check it out she was pretty shocked about the whole incident.

Anyway, I have joined to see if someone has a '99 black Ranger they are parting out around my area. I'm going to look around at the parts for sale section to see what's what, but if anybody has the front body parts floating around in their garage, let me know and we can work something out.

Joel

Welcome Joel

Sorry to hear about the inevitable damage, you are correct in that is minor damage considering you hit a deer. The main thing though is that you and your wife are ok. I am sure if anyone has the parts they will help you out. Best of luck it is only cosmetic . . .

you know what, my neighbor just sold a not running blue 2wd RC ranger for $200..... I didn't even know it was for sale or that it wasn't running.

Welcome Joel, sorry to hear about the trouble. Even in broad daylight, I've come so close, so many times to nail one or two. I had a trip out the Maine once and got warned many times about hitting a Moose, now there is some damage. Try looking at
car-part.com for the stuff you need. If you were in the UP, I've got some stuff but the shipping to where your at gets silly. Glad you both are alright, good luck fixing it back up so wife is happy again!
