Rejoice, for something bad is about to happen!
New Ranger owner here in Alaska. I purchased this 1986 Ranger Ext Cab 4x4 as mostly a light trail and fun truck. It is all manual 2.9l v6, yep even hub are the good manual lock ones. When purchased it would not run, I put a new EEC-IV module in and it runs great. I have been working through it front to back getting everything in shape. The truck actually had the original tie rod ends from 1986 still on the truck, not a pretty sight. In the works is a 6 inch Skyjacker lift with extended brake lines and drop pitman arm. I also have a set of 33's with wheels going on it. The overall plan for this summer is to have fun and drive it to the Arctic Coast, well at least to Deadhorse and see if a land owner up there will allow me to go the rest of the way so I can get pictures on the oceanfront.

Anyways a few pictures of before and how it looks now.
How it looked when I picked it up.

Started cleaning up the paint and putting in some DIY bed liner. Even though it is destined to be a trail truck and not getting new paint, no harm in practicing my paint rescue skills. Yes I am further along now and was never going to leave just half the hood done....lol.

Although the DIY bed liner is ok, I would spend the extra to get it sprayed in if I were doing it to a newer truck or one that will be hauling a lot in the bed.

And my ugly mug while out at a training exercise.

As stated I will likely put together a build thread as it progresses.
