hey guys, i think i registerd here along time ago like in '04 but couldnt remeber my login stuff so i made a new one.
anywho, i've been wanting to get our '84 ranger back on the road. power steering pump leaks and it prolly needs a new carb but otherwise just some tune up stuff. i priced the new carb and power steering pump.
my dad bought it new at the local dealer, payed for the extra undercoating which i think has saved alot of the body. its a early '84 xlt short bed dual tank 4x4 auto with the 2.8 v6 with 105k miles on the truck and motor over the years it got a new front diffy, t-case, tranny but that was years ago.
when we replaced it in '95 with a brand new 2 door blazer the ranger just sat, my uncle drove it some but then he moved in 1999. since then it has sat and not moved alot..some mostiure got inside so theres some mold i have to deal with but its not too bad.
but heres some pics i hope to have her lookin/running good as new here soon!
i also own a '96 limited explorer 4x4 which is my daily driver. its lifted and custom paint(done by me) and all kinds of stuff. i have a '97 explorer 5.0 v8 waiting as a donor for it to replace the reliable but slow 4.0 OHV.
(pics were at a local show this weekend)
i also have a '91 f-250 4x4 auto 5.0 that i also painted..its got 68k orig miles on her i use it to plow snow in the winter and its my other daily driver when i feel the need.
the truck with my 5.0 v8 donor truck
sorry for the long intro, i know explorers inside and out which are pretty close to the rangers but i have alittle learning curve on our older ranger..so i'll be around here for awhile i hope!
