Hi Folks,

Just picked up a 98 XLT 2WD Supercab 4.0 5spd. It's got quite a few miles and I might need to do some work to it, but the body is solid and the P.O. just spent $2K at the dealer for brakes and front end.

I really need a new drivers seat and center console for it. Does anyone know off the top of their heads which years would be a direct bolt in? Anyone in Southern Alberta/Montana have a line on some? :)

Thanks and appreciate this great forum!

by the center console do you mean the armrest??? if so they are notorious for breaking the latches, so good used ones bring a decent amount. Alot of people get explorer seats and center consoles, then you can have power buckets with a full center console that is "almost" bolt in (you have to open up the holes in the seats a bit)

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. That armrest lid is awful. Anyone ever check Ford for an OEM one? Stupid pricing?

Regarding the seats, is it pretty much safe to say anything 98-current will fit?

Sure, I'll take a couple pics once I clean it up.

My Ranger has front buckets and a console. Does anyone know if it's a drop in replacement putting a bench in it? I seem to have a heck of a time finding a bucket for it.

Here is a few pics.

previous owner put too small of tires on it, 205/70R14s. The spare is even still a 225. Not sure what the heck he was thinking. I want to change the seat(s), drop the transmission and do the clutch (it's original @ 316K KMs). Motor has a tick when it's hot and the PS growls like it wants your soul, but other than that, it's not bad... especially for what I paid. :D

Nice, clean too! It defiantly needs bigger wheels. Too bad I don't live closer, I got a nice set of 17" pony fives tars for sale with performance tires on them.
